We focus a lot in our society on outer appearances. The impressions we make and how we appear to the world around us.
And our inner world is not regarded as sacred anymore: Worth exploring, delving into, transforming, giving precedence to. Being aware of. What lies within, needs tended to, weeded out, made new.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the state of our humanity?
Our lack of concern with what the soul and spirit is in need of; and our over preoccupation with all that most beliefs say won’t last?
