Listening?

Lord I say I want to know you, but I refuse to let you speak.

I don’t silence the voices of the world as often as I feel are necessary to hear your voice.

I run to this and to that.

Many things done in your name. I turn to.

Many voices that say they know you, I take heed to.

Media, News, This book, article, YouTube; they take precedence if I were to observe..

They speak to me more clearly, more often.. they have my ear, my full regard…
