I think we missed the mark when we made the mark to be striving for perfection; when it should be about being genuine: real to God, self, and others. We have created very good actors, but very shallow hearts.
As long as societal deeds are met, the expectations of the church and others…we can go on with unexamined hearts and minds…still like the rest of mankind.
We are unable to see our own dark hearts..while crying racist, bigot, sexist, gossip, hypocrite, prejudice..heathen, unsaved demon…to our current self-supposed enemy of all we approve of.
I see that Jesus over and over again asked us to examine OURSELVES. The times He ever seemed to imply pointing out the other; was more about examining your own ugly heart and mind more than anything.
You don’t see much humility these days. It’s all about who else has it wrong. This is where we have went astray..anti-Christ like…unable to shed light on our own depravity…ugly.
Accuser..
The world is hateful..because we care way too much about other’s hate, when we should be weeding out our own.
Instead of running our mouths, instigating arguments, spending endless hours looking into such things..it’s time we start asking OURSELVES: where am I loving? Instead of asking everyone else to change..how am I?
You see, at the end of the “day”, I think it will be about BEing.. more than anything we said or did.
